They have completed their SATS and have made us all super proud with their sheer determination to try their very hardest 🙂
Whatever the outcome, you should be very proud of all you have achieved. All staff at FL are very impressed with your attitude to learning and to the SATS challenge.
Have a well-earned rest this weekend and you have so many lovely things to look forward to over your last few weeks at FL.
A 'special shout out' to all staff who volunteered their time to prepare breakfast for the children each morning - it is very much appreciated. It definitely worked in getting all our Year 6's to school early 🙂
Meanwhile in school this week: -
We'll organise some more sessions in the new academic year so those of you who haven't yet experienced it, have the opportunity.
On to next week: -
To end the week, we have 'wear your favourite colour' non-uniform day on Friday 23rd May 2025 in exchange for £1 for our School Council Pot of Gold 🙂
A polite reminder that all children should be wearing 'black shoes' rather than 'black trainers' as this is our school uniform. We pride ourselves on everyone looking super smart. Thanks for your support with this.
Another sunny week forecast, so please make sure sun lotion is applied before coming to school, a sun hat and a full water bottle.
Have a lovely weekend - have fun in the sun 🙂
Mrs B and the FL Team

We hope you all had a fantastic Easter Break and ready for the Summer Term to commence.
Our Dance Club represented FL at the Gatehouse on Thursday. A massive thank you to Miss Young who has dedicated so much time to teaching the dance to the children and obtaining costumes along with all the other organisation that an event like this takes.
Also, a special mention to Mrs Locke and Mrs Wileman who supported the children to the event and stayed with them. Last but not least, for any parents who attended the event 🙂
Looking ahead to next week: -
A polite reminder - we are noticing that more and more children are using Forest Schools as an additional non-uniform day wearing fashion clothes!! Children need to wear old clothes as they will get dirty, could get ripped or torn by a branch etc so please ensure clothes worn by children on forest school’s day are old. Thanks everyone
FOREST SCHOOLS PARENTS SESSIONS are now full. If we do get any cancellations then we will let you know.
Friday 9th May @ 9am - our Gotta Dance Team are performing their dance for anyone who missed it!! So, feel free to pop into the hall after drop off. It is absolutely amazing!! 🙂
Summer Dates have been updated via MM, website and facebook.
Summer newsletters have also now been issued giving details of curriculum learning.
After School Clubs will commence after May half term (with it being such a short half term and also Year 6 SATS) 🙂
Have a lovely LONG weekend. See you all on Tuesday

Forward planning for the first week back after the Easter Break: -
Have a super fun filled Easter, hopefully this lovely weather will continue through the break.
Children return to school on Monday 28th April 2025.
A polite reminder, we have an open-door policy, so please do speak to any member of staff with any issues or questions, rather than putting on Social Media or in a Class What's App Group in the first instance!! As not everything you read on-line is always accurate 🙂
Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂
Many thanks to everyone who came along to watch our KS2 Spring Production 🙂 It was lovely to see our KS2 on stage and I'm sure you will agree, they were fantastic.
A big 'shout out' to all of our KS2 team who have worked hard with the children over the last few weeks to ensure they were 'production' ready.
Also thank you to both of our 'pot of gold' winners, who very kindly donated their winnings back to school - you are amazing

Also, a 'shout out' to Mrs Locke and Mrs Hepple who went to collect the books
All books were issued to each child this week 🙂
As this event was new to Year 3 and Year 4, it was a festival to enjoy and start to understand the skills and rules of the game. All children did Flash Ley proud with good listening for the coaches and determination and perseverance towards having a go at the game. Well done everyone - a very proud HT moment 🙂
