A reminder to our current Year 6 parents, Secondary Applications close on 31st October 2025 and we've noticed that a few of you haven't yet selected your high school preferences
A reminder that the vehicular access is closed to cars from 8.35am to 9am to ensure that parents/children coming to school on foot are safe when coming on and off site. At the end of the day, vehicular access will be closed off from 3pm until 3.25pm. Thanks for your continued support in this.
Looking ahead to Reception next year, Reception Applications open on 1st November 2025 for any Nursery Children who wish to attend our Reception Class in 2026.
Our next PTFA meeting will be held on Friday 14th November @ 9am when we will be organising our Xmas Fayre :) It would be lovely to see a few new faces. We would love to go 'big' but we need parent volunteers to make this happen.

Year 4 have made great progress and are getting much more confident in their swimming lessons :) These will continue after half term

A big 'thank you' to our Year 3 parents who took time out of their busy days to have brekkie with the School Council, Miss Bunn, Natalie and her kitchen team and your lovely children - everyone really enjoyed it :) We received several 5* ratings :)

Year 4 and Reception class enjoyed their time over at Forest Schools enhancing their curriculum learning further Year 4 were learning about invasions and the day to day life of a Viking raider, looking at the basic human needs of shelter, fire and foraging for food.
Meanwhile, Reception explored food as fuel to power out bodies, where our food comes from and why healthy eating is so important :)
We finished an amazing fun filled week by raising money for our wonderful School Council by 'Dressing in something fancy', and boy did we all look fantastic. An amazing end to a great half term.
Looking ahead to next week: -
Now time to rest, recharge the batteries and have lots of fun with family and friends over the half term holiday.

I spent a lovely morning on Tuesday interviewing our Year 6 children for key responsibilities around school. These positions will be revealed next week - exciting dot com :)
We've also opened our new 'Discovery Den' which many children have accessed already over the last few weeks. For those families returning in September, we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 @ 8.40am. We can't wait to hear about all your Summer adventures.
We have lots of new families joining our FL community in September, so if you see anyone who appears to be lost, please do direct them to the correct location. 🤣🤣. Mrs Locke and I will be out as normal to welcome and direct as well 👍

A big 'shout out' to Miss Young for organising all the stalls and to staff/parent volunteers who stayed to man the stalls.
It's very much appreciated!!

A reminder that we are a 'no mobile phone school' so mobiles need to be kept in pockets/bags or even better left at home.
Please note: - No progressive Sports or Forest Schools this week. All after school clubs have finished so prompt collection at 3.15pm. Traffic around Stafford is still horrendous, so please do leave additional time for the 'school run' particularly on Thursday so that we can all get the Summer Jollibobs started 🙂
Have a great weekend. Just 4 more get ups to go!!!
Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂
