Maths
Maths is so much more than counting numbers. Whilst counting is an important skill, it is also key that we teach children how to use their number knowledge to problem solve, reason and develop logical thinking. Skills such as sequencing, totaling, subtracting, estimating and counting arrangements of objects leads to children building solid foundations for later maths concepts. Mathematical language is crucial in terms of describing shapes, space and measures.
