Y5&6 Boys Inspire Football Competition Nov 2024 Stafford Town

Yesterday we enjoyed the Y5&6 Inspire Girls & Boys Football Competition at Stafford Town Football ground as part of School Games.

It was an amazing day and enjoyed by many schools, the sun even tried to come out for a little time but on the whole considering it was freezing all staff and pupils stayed very positive throughout the day.

We had some amazing results so well done to everyone. The boys wore our brand new kit sponsored by 'Hidden Warriors' (a charity- more information to follow about this charity) and I personally think it bought us all the best of luck!

Boys Results- Group 2

5-0 win against St Leonards

0-0 draw against Christ Church Academy

1-0 win against John Wheeldon

1-0 win against Tillington

This meant that we won our group and went on to play winners against Group 1 which was All Saints Ranton. The end result was 0-0 and as there are no penalty shoot outs in this competition it meant we were both joint winners. WELL DONE BOYS- YOU WERE AMAZING!!!

Girls Results

The Girls had 8 games to play in total throughout the afternoon, and the competition worked on a point system.

3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw and 1 point for a lose.

0-0 against Berkswich

1-0 win against All Saints

2-0 win against St Leonards

0-0 draw against Burton Manor

0-0 draw against Christ Church Academy

0-1 lose against St Peter's

2-0 win against Veritas

1-0 win against Walton Priory

This meant we had 19 points in total and made us 3^rd in the competition as a whole which was fantastic really as 2^nd place had 20 points and 1^st place had 21 points,,,so only 2 points in it.

A FANTASTIC GREAT JOB GIRLS...very proud of your achievements as this is really your first ever proper competition.

A big thank you to Kim Bessant from Stafford Town who supported me in coaching our Flash Ley children throughout the event and also to Gavin Tuach our Chair of Governors for supporting me with the adult support. Also a thank you to all parents who supported with the lifts and supporting throughout the competition.
