BLP: Building Learning Power
Building Learning Power is a study that was developed by Guy Claxton on how children can become better learners. Through developing key skills children secured life long learning habits that could be transferred into their later life. Those schools that were studied using BLP also saw progress and attainment increase as children became more resilient and confident at taking tests.
From September 2015 children were introduced superhero characters each week which demonstrated an essential skill they would need for learning and in life. They were then embedded into daily life within the classroom through displays, conversations, lessons and in teachers' marking.
