Diwali celebrations EYFS and yr1 2024

Our Nursery, Reception and year 1 children having been celebrating the festival of Diwali and learning all about the festival of light.

Nursey and Reception have been focussing on the use of light in celebrations and festivals and had their own Diwali celebrations in their home role play area. They have designed the own rangoli patterns and learned the story of Rama and Sita. 

Year 1 have created Diva lamps and their own rangoli and mehndi patterns. They have learned a song all about Diva lamps and re-enacted the story of Rama and Sita to link in with their drama lessons.
