  • What a fantastic last week of term we've had! 🙂

    Fri 31 Mar 2023

To start our week, I'd like to say a massive 'thank you' to our Hot Cross Bun fairy - you know who you are!   Everyone at school got to taste Hot Cross Buns at some point during this week 🙂

The football session that was cancelled due to the snow has been re-scheduled for Thursday 20th April @ 3.30pm

    So this week:-

    • You are all a very creative bunch!  Easter Bonnet Parade kicked off the week.  They were all absolutely amazing and it was extremely difficult to choose an overall winner!
    • Swimming - Year 4
    • Year 4 and Reception took part in a Forest Schools Session on Monday
    • Film Night went well.  We all had lots of fun watching Matilda the Musical - thanks to those staff who stayed behind to man the event 🙂
    • Voyage/EYFS Easter Stay N Play - thanks to everyone who came along to support us.  We hope you had a great time!
    • A big 'shout out' to everyone who came and supported our Easter Fayre - hopefully you all had a great time 🙂 Also a massive 'thank you' for our team of parents who helped man a few of the stalls.  You are amazing and events like this wouldn't happen without your support.  We raised a staggering £470.00.  This will be used to further reduce the cost of any school trips.
    • Various Football matches were held across the week - everyone who took part, did really well and made us all proud!  A few were also cancelled due to the weather.  These will be re-scheduled after the Easter break - so watch this space!
    • Parents Evening - we hope you found the information provided useful 🙂
    • Year 1 spent the afternoon with Stafford Sports on Thursday

and we finished off an amazing week with our Year 4 class assembly and of course, a few songs on the Steel Pans 🙂

So looking ahead to after Easter:-

    • Nursery/Reception visiting Lower Draycott Farm - if you've not already made payment do so today as otherwise the trip will need to be cancelled as we haven't got the money in our school budget to pay for this trip
    • Swimming Year 4 on Monday
    • Forest Schools on Monday will be the turn of Year 1 - old warm clothes and a change of footwear required
    • Stafford Sports on Thursday will be the turn of our Reception children - they can come to school in their PE kits
    • Our Dance Club will be performing on Thursday at The Gatehouse Theatre (you will have received a letter with regard to this if your child is taking part)

After School Clubs will start week commencing:- 24th April 2023 (a booklet detailing all the clubs for the Summer Term will be issued straight after Easter) with the exception of Football club (See above note)

Summer Term Dates will be issued after Easter and will be updated on the school calendar.

Have a lovely Easter break.  Enjoy time doing what makes you happy!

Thanks for your continued support - you are all amazing 🙂

See you all on Monday 17th April 2023
