Believe to Achieve

Welcome back to the Summer Term!

We hope you all had a great Easter and are ready for lots of exciting activities over the next few weeks!

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate Miss Harris who got married over the Easter break.  We'd like to wish 'Mrs Amos' a long and successful time together.

Water bottles:- A polite reminder that water bottles need to be labelled with your child's name and we need to see what is inside the bottle.  Please do not use the PRIME water bottles in school!  Thanks for your support in this 🙂

So what have we been up to this week:-

  • Year one had fun over at Forest School on Monday - it was a little on the cool side but we still had lots of smiley faces 🙂

  • Reception/Nursery had an amazing time at Lower Drayton Farm and saw lots and lots of animals.  This trip will enhance their learning within the classroom 🙂

  • We held a KS1 Greater Depth Writing Workshop for some of our pupils on Wednesday.  We also invited local schools to join in the fun.

  • Our dance club were amazing at the Gatehouse Theatre on Thursday.  A big 'thank you' to Miss Young for teaching the children the dance, making sure they looked amazing in their costumes and dedicating her time so that the children could take part

  • Stafford Sports was the turn of our Reception children.  The topic this term is 'paralympics'

The After School Club letter for Summer Term has been sent out to you all - clubs are allocated on a first come, first served basis!

Looking ahead to next week:-

  • It's the turn of our Year 2 children to spend the day over at Forest Schools on Monday.  Warm old clothes and a change of footwear are required

  • Swimming Gala for selected children on Tuesday.  Children need to be at school by 8.15am.  A separate letter has been sent.

  • After school clubs start this week (Tuesday and Thursday only).  Prompt collection at 4pm from the main reception.  Athletics will finish at the slightly later time of 4.20pm.

  • STRIKE ACTION - New dates announced - THURSDAY 27th APRIL and TUESDAY 2nd MAY 2023

If your child's class is affected by the above strike action, you will have received a MM.  If you are unsure which classes, please ask at Reception.

  • It's the turn of Year 2 children to have Stafford Sports on Thursday so they can come to school in their PE kits.

Have a great weekend and we'll see you all on Monday

Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂

Summer dates to follow next week - just waiting to finalise Fathers Day arrangements 🙂
