This week is all about our Year 6 Superstars!!

They have completed their SATS and have made us all super proud with their sheer determination to try their very hardest 🙂

Whatever the outcome, you should be very proud of all you have achieved.  All staff at FL are very impressed with your attitude to learning and to the SATS challenge.

Have a well-earned rest this weekend and you have so many lovely things to look forward to over your last few weeks at FL.

A 'special shout out' to all staff who volunteered their time to prepare breakfast for the children each morning - it is very much appreciated.   It definitely worked in getting all our Year 6's to school early 🙂

Meanwhile in school this week: -

  • Year 3 have enjoyed Progressive Sports and skateboarding on Tuesday afternoon 🙂
  • Our parental 'Forest Schools' sessions went well on Thursday and we have had lots of very positive comments in relation to them.  Sorry for those who didn't manage to get on the sessions but we were very limited on numbers due to insurance and making sure that everyone was safe.

We'll organise some more sessions in the new academic year so those of you who haven't yet experienced it, have the opportunity.

On to next week: -

  • Year 4 swimming on Monday afternoon as normal
  • Year 2 have Progressive Sports on Tuesday afternoon - children need to come in their PE Kit
  • Thursday @ 9.30am we have the Sibling Forest School Session for those who are booked on it.  A reminder to come to the school reception, no mobile phones and to supervise your children at all times.
  • If attending the parental forest school’s session, please arrive on time at the office at 9.20am so that a safety briefing can be done, get everyone over to forest school and the site secured.   You will then have maximum time doing all the exciting activities
  • Year 1 have Forest Schools on Thursday afternoon.  Children can come to school in old clothes and must cover their legs.   Suntan lotion to be applied prior to arriving at school, bring a sun hat and a change of shoes.

To end the week, we have 'wear your favourite colour' non-uniform day on Friday 23rd May 2025 in exchange for £1 for our School Council Pot of Gold 🙂

A polite reminder that all children should be wearing 'black shoes' rather than 'black trainers' as this is our school uniform.  We pride ourselves on everyone looking super smart.  Thanks for your support with this.

Another sunny week forecast, so please make sure sun lotion is applied before coming to school, a sun hat and a full water bottle.

Have a lovely weekend - have fun in the sun 🙂
