This week has flown!!

We've been up to lots again this week and much more to come in the last few weeks of this academic year!

A reminder first of all.  Please do not block local residents' drives!! Even if you are only going to be one minute, do not block anyone's drive.  We have had a few very annoyed people coming into the main office.  If this continues, we will be contacting 'Stafford Parking Enforcement'.

NEU have announced more strike days which are Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th July.  Classes affected by closures have been notified via our Marvellous Me App.

So, this week: -

  • Year 4 swimming completed

  • Father's Day 'History of Fire' Events - a big thank you to all who attended.  We've had some amazing feedback 🙂 the children really enjoyed the experience as well

  • Thank you to all who attended the 'Art Exhibition' on Monday - we hope you enjoyed looking at the amazing artwork and making a few purchases 🙂 We raised an amazing £230 which will be used to subsidise school trips over the coming academic year.

  • Year 6 Leavers photographs have been taken so watch this space!  We managed to get out in the sun as well which was a big bonus!

  • World Music Day was celebrated on Wednesday

  • Year 4 performed on their steel pans at Staffordshire County Showground along with many local Stafford Schools - they were awesome 🙂 We are very proud of your achievements.  We have organised a performance within school on Friday 14th July - time to be confirmed.  Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun.

  • Stafford Sports enjoyed their circus experience with Stafford Sports on Thursday

  • Well done to Year 1 who performed their class assembly on Friday - it was a lovely end to the week 🙂

So, looking ahead to next week: -

  • Gotta Dance Children will be performing their dance to everyone (parents invited) at 9am in the school hall.  A reminder that children who are taking part need to be in school at 8.20am to allow time to get changed and have a quick run through 🙂 What a wonderful way to start the week!

  • Year 4 swimming on Monday

  • Year 1 will be spending the day at Forest School on Monday.  Children can wear old clothes and bring a change of shoes.  Suntan lotion to be applied at home and bring in sun hats.

  • After School Clubs as normal on Tuesday and Thursday until 4pm.  Hockey on Wednesday as normal.

  • SPORTS DAY on TUESDAY for everyone.  A reminder to leave mobile phones at home.

So, Nursery/Reception from 9am to 10am

KS1 from 10.30am until 12

KS2 from 1.15pm until 3pm.  Please do not arrive at school until 10 minutes before the event as children will still be on the field enjoying their lunchtime so the gates will not be open until 1.05pm.

Refreshments will be available as long as the weather is kind 🙂 so fingers crossed.

  • Year 1 and 2 school trip to Tutbury Castle on Thursday.  Children will need to be at school for normal start time and be collected at the normal time of 3.15pm.  Separate letters have gone out with further details.

  • Year 4 have Circus Skills with Stafford Sports on Thursday so can come into school in their PE kits.

And that's it for another week.

Enjoy the sun, have a great weekend and see you all on Monday

Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂
