Another week flies by!!

The cooler weather has finally arrived so please ensure that children wear a warm coat and on PE days wear joggers rather than shorts - as they will be outside at break or lunchtime - thanks everyone :)

A reminder that the end of the school day is 3.15pm.  We seem to have a few parents who are continually late.  Please ensure you arrive in time for a prompt collection at 3.15pm.  Thanks for your support in this 🙂

After School Clubs are now in full swing - they run on a Tuesday and Thursday and collection is at 4pm.  Progressive Sports is on a Wednesday and collection again at 4pm.

A massive shout out to staff who run these clubs in their own time - you are all amazing :)

A reminder that if children miss 2 sessions, they will be removed from the club list to give someone else the opportunity to jump on the club.  Thanks for your support with this :)

This week looked a bit like this: -

  • Swimming Year 4 - we were much quicker getting changed this week so Mrs Locke and I were super happy and less stressed :)

  • Our school nurses were on site on Tuesday to administer the Flu Programme for those parents who had given consent

  • Year 1 had a super afternoon with Progressive Sports having a go at Archery on Wednesday - it was lovely to see so many happy smiling faces :)

  • Year 3 and Reception children had a curriculum enriched day over at Forest Schools 🙂

Looking ahead to next week: -

  • Swimming - Year 4 as normal on Monday.  Any children with long hair, could we request you pop it in a bun so it's easier to get swimming caps on :)

  • Year 6 have Progressive Sports on Wednesday afternoon - children can come to school in their PE kits

  • Year 6 also have Forest School for the day on Thursday - children need to wear OLD clothes, bring a change of footwear and wear a coat

  • A reminder that we require all HARVEST FESTIVAL DONATIONS in school by Thursday 9th October so that School Council can organise our Harvest Table in readiness for Monday.  All donations this year are going to a very worthy charity - House of Bread

  • On Friday KS1 have their farm trip - a separate letter has been sent.  If you haven't paid for this trip yet, please do so on Parent Pay as soon as possible.

  • KS2 have a Poet visiting school for POETRY WEEK on Friday - every class has a session with the Poet and will then write their own poetry - if you haven't already paid for this experience, please do so on Parent Pay as soon as possible

And that's it for this week :)

The Halloween Disco letter has been sent out - remember to get your child booked in BEFORE the deadline so that we don't have any upset parents/children :)   Plenty of reminders will be sent :)

Have a lovely weekend and we can't wait to welcome you all back to school on Monday.  Gates are shut at 8.45am prompt, so please make sure children arrive at school to be in class by 8.40am.

Now time to recharge the batteries and spend time doing what makes you happy :)

Mrs B and the FL Team :)
