This Year we linked our Story Telling Week to Luna New Year!

We also held our annual Book Fair and ran a competition to design a new story character. The entries were outstanding and it was hard to pick just one winner!! In the end we had to choose someone from each phase, who all received a £5 Book Fair Voucher!

This week we dedicated our Story Telling Week to Asian stories. We kicked off the week learning all about the legend of the White Snake. It tells of a story about a magical snake who lived high in the mountains and transformed into a beautiful women so she could live amongst the humans. There she fell in love, but he never knew who she truly was. An evil monk convinced the man to be afraid of his wife and she was locked in a high tower. Luckily the man came to his senses and set her free. 

As well as all our story writing in lessons this week, we also created our annual phase stories. EYFS and KS1 worked together to create their story and KS2 worked together to create theirs. You can read them below.

What a success our Book Fair has been this week! As a result, we have been able to purchase many new books which will go into classrooms. They have been selected based on requests from children in Years 2-6.
