So, things are getting busier now in school in readiness for SANTA!! We love this time of year in school, it's a lovely time of year where we celebrate the 'magic of Xmas' 🙂 Lots of lovely activities planned throughout December
As you go down the corridors, you can hear Xmas Songs - it's lovely. We are in full swing now in readiness for our Xmas Nativity and Sing a Longs. Watch out for more information re: - tickets etc.
Xmas @ Flash Ley has been issued to you all via MM and is available on our Facebook page. This details all of the Xmas activities on one piece of paper for you so you can get organised and know what is coming in the next few weeks

The Xmas Lunch letter has also been issued this week. Please make sure you check the date on the letter to ensure your child has ordered a Xmas Lunch if they require one.
Year 6 are at Camp but won't miss out on a Xmas Lunch - so don't panic!!
Those Year 6's not going to Camp have been issued with a Xmas Lunch letter.
Our Winter Menu starts on 1st December. Now we are entering the colder months, we have removed sandwiches as we want everyone to have something warm in their tummies 🙂
The new menu has been shared on our facebook page and is available to view on our website. If you do require a paper copy for ease, pop into the office and we can sort that for you.
So, this week at a glance: -
- Year 5 Brekkie Coffee Morning was well attended and we received so many lovely positive comments. A big shout out to Miss Bunn, School Council and our lovely Kitchen Team for making this happen 🙂 More dates for different classes will be issued in the New Year
- Year 2 spent the day with Miss Baynham who will taking the helm in January 2026. Thanks to those parents who spent a couple of minutes out of their busy day to say 'hello' to her 🙂 Transitions between Miss Baynham and Mrs How will continue until the end of this term
- Year 1 had loads of fun learning Fencing with Progressive Sports on Wednesday afternoon
- Year 3 football coaching is going well at lunchtime on Wednesday - less injuries, more fun and competitive play - everyone is happy and know what they are doing
- Year 4 had fun over in Forest School enhancing their curriculum learning - thankfully the weather was much warmer for them 🙂
- We ended the week with our Non-Uniform Day - and WOW did you do us proud with the vast amount of chocolates and sweets - which will appear at our Xmas Fayre on the Chocolate Tombola
Looking ahead to next week: -
- Progressive Sports AFTER SCHOOL CLUB has now finished - so anyone who has been attending this club needs to be collected from school @ 3.15pm moving forward
- After School Clubs on a Tuesday and Thursday finish this week - so prompt collection again at 4pm from the Office/Hall
- Year 4 have Progressive Sports on Wednesday - children can come to school in their PE kit
- Forest Schools on Thursday is the turn of Year 2 in the morning and Reception class in the afternoon. Children to come in OLD CLOTHES, warm coat and bring a change of sturdy footwear
- On Friday we have our second Non-Uniform Day for BOTTLES (must be FULL) for our Bottle Tombola 🙂 Football shirts are allowed for this Non-Uniform - woo hoo x
