Weekly Summary 19 June 2026
Another week flies by π
- Tempest Photography came to school on Monday to take Year 6 Leavers photos π They managed to choose a time when the sun was shining π
- A big 'shout out' to all our 'dad's' out there who took time out of a very busy day to come into school π We hope you enjoyed your time with us. It was great to see so many of you.
A special 'thank you' to Miss Young who had to change plans at the very last minute due to the unpredictable weather on Wednesday morning ββπ§οΈπ§οΈπ§οΈ
- Nursery had a special visit from the local 'fire service' on Monday. They practised the 'stop, drop and roll' if you are on fire. He's also given them all homework to check their smoke alarm at home π They also got the opportunity to 'dress up'. They all had a fabulous time.
- Year 5 had a fabulous day at Chester learning more about the Romans to enhance their topic - the weather was kind as well which was a bonus π
- Year 4 had a great time in Progressive Sports continuing their skateboarding skills π
- Year 1 and Year 3 enjoyed their part days over at Forest Schools on Thursday.
- We ended the week by coming to school in non-uniform in exchange for 'bottles' for our Bottle Tombola for the Summer Fayre - thanks to everyone for your generous donations - it really is appreciated πΎπΎ
- Our Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Team also did us proud on Friday afternoon. They tried their very hardest and Miss Young was very impressed. Well done to you all and a special thank you to our volunteers who came along to support and to Miss Young for organising.
- We made the most of the warmer weather at the end of the week as well πππ
Looking ahead to next week: -
- Hot weather forecast all week so Monday - Thursday, children can come to school in their school PE kit to stay cooler (shorts, t-shirt and sun hat). No football kits allowed between Monday to Thursday
Any children who don't wish to wear their PE kit need to come to school in their normal school uniform.
- Year 6 Alton Towers on Monday - all details in separate letter with all the finer details
- Year 4 Swimming as normal on Monday ππβοΈ
- Throughout the week, Year 5 have various sessions over at Stafford Manor - a separate letter has been sent in relation to this - normal collection from Flash Ley x
- After School Clubs on Tuesday and Thursday - please note: - this week is the LAST week of clubs. Prompt collection at 4pm please.
Thanks to all staff who have given up their own time to run these amazing clubs π
- Year 5 have Progressive Sports on Wednesday - legs must be covered as they are continuing with skateboarding πΉπΉ
- EYFS have their 'Stay n Play' on Wednesday @ 10.45am - 11.45am. A reminder to leave phones at home. A separate letter has been issued with the finer details
- Forest Schools on Thursday is the turn of Year 5 (in the morning) and Year 6 (in the afternoon) - old clothes and a change of footwear required
- Year 2 have the second session of 'Mood Bears' where they will continue to explore the many feelings, we have each and every day π»π§Έ
- Friday - Non-Uniform Day in exchange for 'chocolate' for our Chocolate Tombola at our Summer Fayre. As we are in the middle of the WORLD CUP - football kits are allowed on this day π
