Weekly Summary 12 June 2026
Another week is complete with lots of learning and testing!!!!
A big 'shout out' to our Year 1 and Year 4 children who have completed the phonics/multiplication testing. We are proud of every single one of you. Have a well-earned weekend - well done to each and every one of you. A super proud HT and Class Teacher moment 🙂
Our bike shed has now had its makeover and can be used again 🚵♀️🚵♀️🚵♂️🚵♂️🚴♀️🚴♀️
This week at a glance: -
- Year 4 started back with their weekly swimming - they are all doing so well 🏊🏊
- Year 3 had a super Anglo-Saxon day and looked at many different artefacts. The day really enhanced their topic learning and gave them a magical experience. They looked at lots of artefacts and worked in groups to form a 'shield wall'. Discussions around farming, food and clothes also developed their learning about this subject further. A great day had by all!! 🙂 If you haven't yet paid for this amazing experience, please do so via Parent Pay
- Year 3 had a very busy week as they also embraced their skateboarding session with Progressive Sports
- Year 2 enjoyed their first 'mood bear' workshop on Tuesday which enabled them to explore all those different emotions that we have during our day-to-day life. Everyone really enjoyed. Our next session is next week 🙂
- Reception and Year 1 had a lovely half a day over at Forest Schools enhancing their curriculum topic
- Year 6 had their leavers photos on Friday (re-scheduled due to the pesky weather) - it all seems so real now!! Only 5 more weeks to go until the next stage of your learning journey - wowzers 🥲
- We ended a very busy week with our SEN coffee morning which discussed all things 'regulation'. A big thank you to those parents who attended and took time out of a very busy day.
