Weekly Summary 15 May 2026
It's Friday!!
Mixed weather this week but we did manage to get outside on Thursday and Friday to get a bit of fresh air and stretch our legs 🙂
Letter to out in relation to their Anglo Saxon Day for Year 3 on 9th June - so keep your eyes peeled 🙂
After School Club cut off - Friday 15th MAY 🙂Clubs start after half term for 4 weeks 🙂 Notification of which club your child has been accepted for will be via J2E next week.
'Chippy Lunch' - Thursday 21st May 2026 (flier has been sent out to you all via J2E and is on our facebook page) 🙂 Payable via Parent Pay
Drum roll required for our fantastic Friends of FL who have raised with the help of you all nearly £500 with their 'bucket' challenge. The overall winners were our Year 5 superstars who will be watching their film (their chosen treat) one afternoon next week 🙂
This week has been all about our FANTASTIC YEAR 6 SUPERSTARS!! They have made us smile and we are all so very proud of their achievements. They have smashed this week with their determination and amazing attitude to learning - you all gave 100% and tried your very hardest - that is all we can ask 🙂
Whatever the results, you are all winners in our eyes and remember that no test will ever show how incredibly kind, creative and how special and unique you all are 🎉🎉
Now to enjoy the rest of your time at Primary School - let the fun begin 🙂
- Year 1 had fun with Miss Young playing different paralympic activities - as skateboarding was cancelled - this will be rescheduled after half term 🙂 Thanks Miss Young for stepping in with an amazing activity
- Year 1 also had a fabulous day over at Forest Schools enhancing their curriculum learning looking at the structure of plants - the weather was kind as well so that was an added bonus
Cut off for After School Clubs is today - Friday 15th May 2026 - confirmation will be set out via J2E next week in readiness for clubs to start first week after half term (w/c:- 1st June) 🙂
Looking ahead to next week: -
- Year 4 Swimming as normal on Monday 🙂
- EYFS Watch Me Learn and coffee morning @ 9am on Tuesday 19th May 🙂
- Friends of FL meeting on Tuesday @ 9am - A local Counsellor is attending to discuss a 'parking campaign'
- National Numeracy Day on Wednesday
- Year 6 Progressive Sports on Wednesday - leggings or jogging bottoms must be worn to protect the legs
- ERIC @ 8.30am on Thursday for Reception, Year 1 and Yer 2 parents - a lovely opportunity to share a book with your child
- Non-Uniform Day on Thursday - along with our BOUNCY ASSAULT COURSE - leggings must be worn as legs need to be covered for the bouncy castle - NO JEWELLERY
- Year 6 Forest Schools all day on Thursday - old suitable clothes to be worn and a change of sturdy footwear
- Break up on Thursday 21st May - prompt collection at 3.15pm - we return on Tuesday 2nd June 2026 @ 8.40am
