Weekly Summary 27 February 2026
A busy first week!!
With it being a very short half term, we have certainly hit the ground running 🙂 All work around school is now nearly completed - so keep your eyes peeled for photographs on our facebook page 🙂 School is looking fantastic.
Thanks to our EYFS parents who took time out of their busy schedule to 'watch me learn - phonics' session. We absolutely loved having you in school and hope you enjoyed it too - until next time 🙂
Year 4 also enjoyed Thursday morning when parents joined their lesson learning all things 'multiplication'. We hope you had an enjoyable morning and also gained an insight into how the Multiplication Screening Check will be administered 🙂
We have spent a considerable amount of money over the half term improving the outdoor areas around school. Do not let children at the beginning or end of the school day, stand on the seating in the pergola on the KS1 playground. This area is for sitting and not standing. A reminder that once children are released from class then it is parental responsibility to take care of your children. Thanks for your support in this.
Mothers/Nan/Aunty Day Brekkie letters have gone out for Year 3 & 4 - so get booked in before the cutoff date 🙂 Other remaining letters for Year 1, 2, 5 & 6 to go out next week.
EASTER PACT action needed over the weekend to reserve your place
J2E letter sent to Year 1 - Year 6 re: - Easter Bonnet PACT. If you wish to take part in the appropriate session, you must go onto PARENT PAY and pay £1 so that an Easter Bonnet is ordered for the session. Strict deadline of Monday 2nd March @ 9am. Thanks everyone (more details re: - session times in letter that was sent via J2E) 🙂
WORLD BOOK DAY - Thursday 5th March 2026
J2E letter sent to you all with details regarding World Book Day. Children are welcome to come dressed as their favourite book character, however, there is no expectation for this at all. No football kits/shirts allowed. Children not dressed in character, need to come to school in their normal school uniform. Lots of lovely activities have been planned for the day 🙂
As Year 3 and Year 2 have FOREST SCHOOLS on this day - they can dress as a character on FRIDAY instead of the THURSDAY.
We are aware there are a few children's What's APP groups set up in KS2. We have reports of totally inappropriate comments bring made on these which is causing much upset!! A reminder that the minimum age for WhatsAPP is 13 years of age. As a school we do not support these groups at all.

And that's its folks!!
Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week
Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂
