  • And just like that it's FRIDAY!!!  We've had a very sporty week this week 🙂

    Fri 19 Apr 2024

    So, this week:-

    • We started our week with an assembly about the importance of 'friendship' which was delivered by our Mental Health Lead, Mrs Alison Lloyd
    • Year 6 had a very productive day over at Forest School
    • Year 5 enjoyed their first go at 'Tri Golf' 🙂
    • Our footballers attended several tournaments this week, braved the weather, won some, lost some BUT represented our school and we are all so very proud of you all 🙂                         My first 'big shout' is to all those staff and parents who supported the event                                                              My second 'big shout' is to Miss Young for organising everyone 🙂 and more importantly washing the football kit each night ready for the next tournament on the following day - you are a super star Miss Young.

    Looking ahead to next week:-

    • It's the turn of Year 3 on Monday to spend the day over at Forest School.  Old clothes and a change of footwear is needed
    • On Tuesday, Year 4 have Progressive Sports - so can wear PE kits all day
    • Also on Tuesday, our Reading Ambassadors are receiving training so they can continue to promote the importance of reading within FL
    • On Wednesday, Year 6 have a special visitor who will talk to them about 'managing their feelings around SATS' 🙂
    • On Thursday, Miss Young, Mrs Sargeant and the Dance Gang will be representing FL at 'The Gatehouse' - we can't wait to see the dance (in assembly) in a few weeks time 🙂

And that's about it for this week 🙂

A reminder that we still need to recruit a few more volunteers for our PTFA please - as we need more help to enable us to run our Summer Fayre this year 🙂

Please catch Mrs Banks or Miss Young or our parent governors, Mr Tuach, Mr Parker or Mrs Capewell.   Without help, the Summer Fayre will be much smaller - we want to make it BIGGER this year 🙂

Have a great weekend, hopefully the sun will make an appearance, see you all on Monday

Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂

  • Welcome back to the SUMMER TERM!!!
