We are delighted that you want to know more about childcare for 3-4 year olds through Voyage @ Flash Ley.

Our out of school provision offers educational childcare where children can participate and enjoy planned activities which are age appropriate. These activities reflect the high standards of care and education throughout our school.

Wrap Around Care

We provide a wrap around care service in Butterflies which is childcare for Nursery school aged children whose parents/carers may need childcare outside of their 15 Nursery school hours. Children are able to attend Nursery education within school whilst we care for the children for part of or the remainder of the day. The Governments 30 free hours funding scheme can also work in accordance with wrap around care.

More information about the free funding scheme is further down the page. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

What do I need to provide?

  • Nappies, wipes and creams if necessary (Whilst parents are encouraged to think about potty training their children if they haven't already during their stay in the Butterfly room, it isn't essential for your child to be potty trained to access this room.)
  • Comforters are discouraged where possible, but we will do everything we can to ensure the children remain happy and settled
  • Keep us up to date with any new addresses, contact numbers, illnesses etc.
  • A spare change of clothing
  • A sun hat throughout the summer/hat, scarf and gloves throughout the winter (we always try to get outside no matter what the weather!)
  • Please keep your child's 'Learning Log' up to date and bring it in with your child whenever they're in to help maintain Parent Partnership
  • A labelled water bottle

Free Funding

15 hours

All children become entitled to 15 free hours of funding the term after their third Birthday. This is regardless of income or work status, and you do not have to apply for this funding.

30 hours

You may be able to get up to 30 hours free childcare if you are a working parent and meet the earnings criteria. This does not have to be used term time only like the Think2 funding - it can be used however you chose to providing we can fit your requirements. The funding stops when your child/ren starts in reception or reaches compulsory school age.

If you are eligible, you can sign up using the link provided below, where you will be given a code that needs to be passed onto us to get the ball rolling. You will then get the extra hours once the next term starts.
