School Council Non-Uniform Day - Break the Rules Day - Friday 23^rd October x (poster on Facebook and J2E) 🙂hopefully we've accommodated everyone with this one 🤞

Friends of FL Xmas Presents - Non-Uniform on Friday 20^th November in exchange for a gift (more details sent via J2E and Facebook).  Wrapping stall will be held on Monday 7^th December (throughout the day)

Another cracking week full of learning, making friendships and using our brains 🙂

• We started the week by selecting our House Captains for the new academic year 🙂 see Facebook post

• Our MHST lunchtime drop in was extremely popular as well on Monday - keep your eyes peeled for more dates 🙂

• Year 4 are still making really good progress with their weekly swimming.  More children have less buoyancy aids

• Year 6 had a very productive day over at Forest Schools.  They worked in groups to build small fires, then made raspberry and apple jam.  They then used skewers to toast bread on the fire and finished the session with sampling their jam on the toast - amazing 🙂 Great fun was had by all

• Year 3 and Year 5 explored their breathing and meditation on Tuesday afternoon in their X-hail sessions

• Our Happiness Heroes took part in their second training session on Thursday.  They talked about the importance of 'connection'.  They were given the task of thinking about ways to support connection at break and lunchtimes.  They all received their badges as well - so super 'happy' happiness heroes by the end of the session.  More to come next week 🙂

Looking ahead to next week: -

• Year 4 swimming as normal on Monday

• Year 2 Forest Schools on Tuesday - wear old clothes, bring a change of footwear and a coat is a must!!

• X-hail is the turn of Year 1 and Reception class on Tuesday afternoon

• Year 3 School Council Coffee Morning @ 9am on Wednesday - this event has now closed - so only turn up if you have pre-paid 🙂

• At some point over this week (weather permitting), our EYFS/KS1 children will be pumpkin picking - if you haven't paid yet - please send the £1 in to your child’s class teacher

• Happiness Heroes have their third training session on Thursday afternoon

• Friday, we have ERIC for EYFS & KS1 children from 8.30am - 9am.

We also have our special Halloween Menu and our Break the Rules Non-Uniform Day £1 for those children breaking one of our rules 🙂 Those children not wanting to take part need to come to school in normal school uniform

• We break up on Friday 23^rd October - please collect children promptly at 3.15pm so that we can all start a well-deserved break and a week off!!!

Enjoy your weekend making more special memories

Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂
