Weekly Summary 5 June 2026

Welcome back everyone!!

Hope you all had a great half term and made the most of the glorious sunshine 🙂

Our bike shed is having a 'face lift' next week.  Please ensure that all BIKES/SCOOTERS are taken home on FRIDAY.  Any left will be placed in the skip.  Some of them have been in there a considerable time!

Those travelling to school on a scooter/bike on Monday - please leave outside the 'office/reception' until the bike shed is completed

Thanks for your continued support with this - it will hopefully be so much nicer when it's finished 🙂

Father’s Day letters have been issued this week - please pay via parent pay and make sure you reserve your place before the deadline so that we can organise ourselves in school.

This week: -

Everyone has settled well and back into the school routine.

A reminder that the school day starts at 8.40am.  We have a considerable number of lates this week

  • After School Clubs have now started on a Tuesday and Thursday - everyone enjoyed themselves.  A reminder that if children don't turn up for club, then their place will be given to another child on the waiting list.
  • Year 1 had a lovely time mastering the art of 'skateboarding'
  • Year 2 spent all day over at Forest Schools enhancing their topic further 🙂
  • Our first ERIC for KS2 children was a success on Wednesday morning.  It was lovely to see parents sharing a story with their children.  We'll run another session soon.
  • A big thank you to those parents who took time out of their very busy schedule to attend our School Council Art Morning.  Lovely feedback was received and it was lovely to see you all taking part in a lovely activity.  Thanks to Miss Bunn and our School Council for hosting 🙂

Looking ahead to next week: -

  • Year 4 swimming on Monday - a reminder for jewellery to be kept at home please so it doesn't get lost
  • Phonics Screening for Year 1 all week and Multiplication Checks for Year 4 all week
  • Year 3 have their Anglo Saxon Day on Tuesday 9th June - at the moment only 12 parents have paid.  Please pay via Parent Pay otherwise the workshop will unfortunately need to be cancelled - a final decision will be made on Monday @ 3pm

  • Forest Schools- Thursday - Reception (morning) and Year 1 (afternoon) - children to wear old clothes and suitable footwear

And that's your lot for this week

Enjoy your weekend
