Weekly Summary 1 May 2026

Another cracking week for our Flash Ley Family πŸ™‚

A polite reminder NO VAPING ON SITE – thank you for your support in this.

  • We started the week with a special assembly from a charity which is very close to all our hearts - Birmingham Children's Hospital.  School Council over the coming months will be organising a 'sponsored event' to raise much needed funds for families who receive support from this amazing hospital.
  • Year 4 are coming along nicely with their swimming πŸ™‚ less buoyancy aids each week ☺️
  • Reception / Year 1 had a visit from the Dentist on Tuesday for those parents who gave consent
  • Year 2 had a cracking time in Skateboarding - they all tried really hardπŸ™‚
  • Year 4 spent the day out in Forest Schools enhancing their curriculum learning - it was a glorious day but a little chilly

Looking ahead to next week: -

  • School closed on BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY (4th May)
  • Gotta Dance Assembly @ Tuesday 5th May @ 9am for any parents who would like to see our fantastic dancers perform (in the hall) - no mobile phones
  • Progressive Sports is the turn of Year 4 for skateboarding - children must cover their legs pls and wear PE kit - so either jogging bottoms or leggings πŸ™‚
  • Reception will spend the day on Thursday over at Forest Schools (let’s hope the nice weather continues) - old clothes and a change of footwear is essential

So, if you shop at Tesco, Flash Ley are featuring in the 'blue tokens' scheme - so please do collect a token and pop it under our name πŸ™‚ Any funds raised from this will be going towards equipment for our sensory areas within school

A reminder that it is the last week of the FL Bucket Challenge this week

Have a fantastic long weekend, enjoy the warmer weather and have lots of fun

See you all on Tuesday 5th May @ 8.40am πŸ™‚
