Weekly Summary 1 May 2026
Another cracking week for our Flash Ley Family π
A polite reminder NO VAPING ON SITE – thank you for your support in this.
- We started the week with a special assembly from a charity which is very close to all our hearts - Birmingham Children's Hospital. School Council over the coming months will be organising a 'sponsored event' to raise much needed funds for families who receive support from this amazing hospital.
- Year 4 are coming along nicely with their swimming π less buoyancy aids each week βΊοΈ
- Reception / Year 1 had a visit from the Dentist on Tuesday for those parents who gave consent
- Year 2 had a cracking time in Skateboarding - they all tried really hardπ
- Year 4 spent the day out in Forest Schools enhancing their curriculum learning - it was a glorious day but a little chilly
Looking ahead to next week: -
- School closed on BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY (4th May)
- Gotta Dance Assembly @ Tuesday 5th May @ 9am for any parents who would like to see our fantastic dancers perform (in the hall) - no mobile phones
- Progressive Sports is the turn of Year 4 for skateboarding - children must cover their legs pls and wear PE kit - so either jogging bottoms or leggings π
- Reception will spend the day on Thursday over at Forest Schools (let’s hope the nice weather continues) - old clothes and a change of footwear is essential
So, if you shop at Tesco, Flash Ley are featuring in the 'blue tokens' scheme - so please do collect a token and pop it under our name π Any funds raised from this will be going towards equipment for our sensory areas within school
A reminder that it is the last week of the FL Bucket Challenge this week
