Weekly Summary 20 March 2026
Another Friday rolls round ...
We must definitely make the most of the sun and felt the warmth on our faces at both lunch and breaktimes. Hopefully in the next few days/weeks we can get on the field (still too wet at the moment)
Our Progressive Sports PAID club on Wednesday's has now finished - so children who attend this club need to be collected at normal finish time of 3.15pm next Wednesday - thanks in advance
We continued to celebrate the 'amazing women in our lives' with the reminder of our Mother’s Day Brekkies. It was lovely to see the interaction and that special bond. So many lovely comments 🙂
A massive Thank you' to our Kitchen Team for preparing a lovely Mother's Day Brekkie over the last few weeks. We have never had so many parents in over so many sessions, I'm sure you will agree it was amazing 😇🙏
A huge thank you to all the EYFS parents who attended Easter Bingo on Wednesday - lots of winners of some fantastic prizes and plenty of smiling faces. An amazing morning had by all 🙂
Thanks to those parents who took time out a very busy day to decorate Easter Bonnets during our very popular EASTER PACT sessions. It was lovely to see you all getting stuck in and it's going to be tough competition to pick out our 'winners'.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Non-Uniform Day on Monday by donating an Easter Egg. It will help raise valuable funds for the children who attend Flash Ley. We have our Chocolate Tombola (outside the hall) on Monday 23rd March - so bring those £1 coins with you on school collection. This event is usually very popular.
Year 1 enjoyed their Progressive Sports session. They had so much fun during their boxing session on Wednesday. The children are really enjoying the 'enrichment' activities that are provided in addition to our school curriculum.
Year 1 and Year 4 had a lovely session in the sun over at Forest Schools enhancing their curriculum/topic areas.
Thanks to those who supported our 'Red Nose Day' - this is a lovely charity to provide help too. We will post next week once we know how much we have raised for this very worthy cause. The school was a sea of red with some lovely superhero costumes. School was a rainbow of lovely colours.
Our 'Friends of FL' group met on Thursday to discuss all things 'fundraising'. Keep your eyes peeled on events being organised by this PARENT LED group and you may want to help out or attend the next meeting to share your ideas 🙂 All money will go back to every child who attends FL. (see facebook poster and J2E post sent yesterday for more details on their first event) - excited dot com. They are raising money for more I-pads within school for all children to use 🙂
We ended the week with our SEN Coffee Morning - a lovely cuppa, chat and we put the world to right!! Thanks, ladies, for your contribution 🙂 It was a lovely morning.
Looking ahead to the last week of this half term before a well-deserved break 🙂 Let's hope this lovely weather continues. Fingers crossed 🙂

Monday

Thank you for your co-operation in this.
Friday
- ERIC for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 at the revised time (after feedback from you all) - starting at 8.30am - 9am. A lovely end to the term by sharing a book with your child. We can't wait to welcome you all into school 🙂
