Weekly Summary 12th December 2025

So, another week flies by and we literally have 5 more get ups until a well-deserved break 🙂

It's hard work having a few 'resident' elves - glad there are only 5 more days to sort (if you know, you know)- ha ha ha 🙂

This will be the last summary for this year - we will send out a reminder for the 1st week back on our new J2E platform 🙂

So, this week looked a bit like this: -

  • Year 3 had an enjoyable day at COSFORD - they all had a great time and enhanced their classroom learning.  A big shout out to staff and parent volunteers who went along to help out 🙂 They all came back with beaming smiles and chatting away about the knowledge they had absorbed: 🙂
  • Year 5 enjoyed their fencing experience with Progressive Sports on Wednesday 🙂
  • A big thank you to all of you who ventured out to support our XMAS FAYRE.  Our busiest Xmas Fayre yet!!  Once we get a final total raised, we will let you know.  Thanks to all staff and PTFA members who helped out - very much appreciated.  A special 'shout out' to Miss Young for organising everything 🙂 Raffle winners will be posted on Facebook at some point next week - so keep your eyes peeled
  • Year 3 had a smashing day over at Forest Schools 🙂
  • We finished the week with our TRAVELLING PANTO - everyone absolutely loved it 🙂 It's still not too late to pay if you haven't already done so.
  • Reports have been handed out today - so search in your child's bag - good luck 🙂

No more Forest Schools or Progressive Sports Sessions now until the NEW YEAR as we have lots of Xmas Activities and Performances next week.

Looking ahead to next week: -

  • On Monday EYFS (Nursery/Reception) are welcome to come to school in Xmas PJs for a Xmas Slumber Party Treat 🙂
  • Year 6 at camp all week - a reminder that children need to be taken to Laches Wood and collected on Friday - more details have been issued previously.  It is an expectation that Year 6's not going to camp come to school each day.
  • KS2 Sing A Long on Monday 15th December @ 9.15am - only turn up if you have a ticket as we are sold out!  Year 3, 4 & 5 need to wear a Xmas Jumper with full school uniform.
  • KS1 Nativity on Tuesday 16th December @ 9.30am and 2.15pm - only turn up if you have a ticket as we are sold out!

A reminder for ALL of our performances - we are a NO MOBILE PHONE SITE and no photos will be allowed during the performance 🙂

  • Xmas Lunch and XMAS JUMPER DAY (with school uniform) on Wednesday 17th December - if your chid hasn't pre-ordered a lunch then they will need to bring their own packed lunch from home
  • STAY N PLAY - EYFS @ 10.45am on Thursday 18th December - again NO MOBILE PHONES - please leave them at home - EYFS children to wear a XMAS JUMPER on this day with full school uniform
  • EYFS/KS1 have a special visitor to school on Thursday 18th December - I wonder who that could be?  Remember to ask them on collection at the end of the school day 🙂
  • Friday 19th December is PARTY DAY - All children can come to school in PARTY CLOTHES but must wear sensible shoes and bring a coat as they will be outside at break and lunchtime

And that's a wrap - this will be the final facebook/MM summary for this year - we will let you know arrangements for the 1st week back in the New Year 🙂

Enjoy this weekend doing all things Xmasy 🙂

See you in 2026.  We return to school on Monday 5th January 2026.

Mrs B and the FL Team 🙂
