Children will develop an understanding of pitch through using movement, voice and instruments. They will identify contrasts of high and low pitches, and create animal chant sounds and sequences. They will begin to recognise changed in pitch and interpret pitch line notation using voices and tuned instruments.
They will then take part in an Easter performance.
The beginning half of this term in music we will be aiming to explore sounds that our bodies and different instruments make, listen to and discuss sounds (timbre) and perform sounds with control.
We will then move onto learning Christmas songs and the story of ‘The Nutcracker’.
