Music

The children are really excited about this term’s music lessons. We are going to be learning songs linked to our Roman topic. We will be developing our performance skills, learning about Roman instruments and explore Italian composers by listening to their music and discussing what we can hear increasing our understanding of musical vocabulary.

Picture, lyrics and videos will be uploaded during the course of the term.

Just like a Roman

This clever cross-curricular song about the Romans offers a perfect vocal complement to KS2 topic work. Pertinent vocabulary, witty humour and a catchy cha cha rhythm, make this song a sure-fire winner. Boys in particular will love this brilliant song -- it is a descriptive history of Roman times with all the yucky bits left in!

Lyrics to warm-ups, chants and songs we are learning in lessons.
