Summer Term

During the Summer Term, children will be revising concepts and strategies taught during the Autumn and Spring Term.

We will recap strategies for adding and subtracting 2 2-digit numbers (Year 1 adding and subtracting a 1-digit number from a 2-digit number).

We will also be investigating measurement and comparing length, weight and capacity.

Spring Term

This Term in maths we will be learning to tell the time. Year 1 will be looking at o'clock and half past and Year 2 will be focusing on quarter past and quarter to the hour.

We will also be investigating fractions of shape and numbers. (Year 1 1/2 and 1/4; Year 2 2/4,3/4,1/3 and 2/3)

Will will continue find appropriate methods to add and subtract two-digit numbers, with Year 2 looking at regrouping and adjusting.

Then finally we will finish the term off with investigating 2D and 3D shapes and their properties.
