This term in English we are learning all about some different genre and are focusing first on non-fiction books. We are learning how to label a diagram and write a caption to go with it.
After that our genre changes to fiction and writing different fairy tales within our story writing ‘Rags to Riches’. Part of English includes drama and this will be taught through our story telling or in other subject areas.We will also be looking at Poetry which includes pattern and rhythm as well as producing a recount Diary of Samuel Pepys and the Great Fire of London.
In the latter part of the first half term we also have the opportunity to meet a real life Story Teller who will be visiting our school.
As always we will continue to learn about spelling rules and grammar.
