World Book Day 2017

We all dressed as our favourite David Walliams' characters. Can you spot the Billionaire Boys, the World's Worst Children, The Midnight Gang and a variety of other characters?

As part of our learning about The Iron Man, we worked in groups to create our own monsters made from a variety of materials. We used our ideas to generate adjectives to describe the monsters ready for our own stories. We also interviewed the monsters and wrote direct speech using inverted commas.

This half term we will be studying the book 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. Below is the story for you to share with your child.

We have recently been learning to spell words with silent letters. We played a game called Silent Movie where someone had to act one of the words out. Everyone else had to guess the word. To score a point, they then had to spell the word correctly!
