Baroque Period

Music written between (1600 to 1750)

Features of Baroque Music:

  • Music in this era was very organised, elaborate and dramatic.

  • The harpsichord was commonly used.

  • Harmonies were incorporated (the combination of one note at the same time).


Famous composers during this period include J.S. Bach, Pachelbel, Handel and Vivaldi.
